Reunião de Pastores / Pastors Gathering

Toda última terça-feira do mês, os pastores do Distrito Luterano Paulista se reúnem para estudarem teologia, se confortarem uns aos outros no trabalho do santo ministério e confraternizarem, para que a comunhão em torno de Jesus e os laços de amizade sejam fortalecidos.

Em 31 de março, a reunião de pastores ocorreu em Campo Limpo Paulista, no templo da Congregação Evangélica Luterana Esperança. Neste ano estaremos estudando o livro “A Ética de Cada Dia”, de Martim Carlos Warth (1926-2004). O estudo teológico foi dirigido pelo pastor Sérgio Flor, da Congregação Bom Pastor da Lapa, bairro de São Paulo. Ele abordou as definições e termos na introdução do livro do Martim Warth.
Entre nós estava o pastor Ailton Pereira dos Santos. Ele é pastor da Comunidade Luterana Corpus Christi de Arujá, estado de São Paulo, uma igreja luterana independente. Ele está dialogando conosco, pastores da Igreja Evangélica Luterana do Brazil, com vistas a afiliar a sua comunidade ao nosso corpo eclesiástico.

A nossa próxima reunião será em abril, na Lapa.

Every last Tuesday in a month, the pastors of Paulista Lutheran District gather to study theology, comfort each other in the work of the holy ministry and to fraternize, so that the communion around Jesus and the ties of friendship are strengthened.

On March 31, the pastors gathering took place in Campo Limpo Paulista, in the temple of Esperança Evangelical Lutheran Congregation. In this year we´ll be studying the book “A Ética de Cada Dia” (Everyday Ethics), by Martim Carlos Warth (1926-2004). The theological study was conducted by pastor Sérgio Flor, from Bom Pastor Congregation, Lapa, Sao Paulo City, who spoke about the definitions and terms in the introduction of Martim Warth´s book.
Among us was pastor Ailton Pereira dos Santos. He is the pastor of Corpus Christi Lutheran Community in Arujá, Sao Paulo State, an independent Lutheran Church. He is dialoguing with us, pastors of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil, aiming to affiliate his community to our Church body.

The next pastors gathering will be in April, in Lapa.

Domingo da Família / Family Sunday

No Quinto Domingo na Quaresma, dia 29 de março, tivemos o Domingo da Família.

Após o culto, se formaram grupos para refletir sobre o conteúdo do sermão e fixá-lo na mente. Então, os membros tiveram um momento de distração com algumas dinâmicas de grupo, cujo objetivo era integrar os membros e fortalecer os laços de amizade entre as famílias da nossa congregação.

Esta programação terminou com uma bela refeição de almoço: risoto e salada. O próximo Domingo da Família será no segundo semestre.

On the Fifth Sunday in Lent, March 29, we had the Family Sunday.

After the service, groups were made to reflect about the content of the sermon and to grab it in mind. Then the members had a moment of distraction with some dynamics of groups, with the objective of integrating the members and strengthen the ties of friendships among the families of our congregation.

This event finished with a great meal: rice, chicken and salad. The next Sunday Family will be in the second semester.

Conselho Distrital na Lapa / District Counsel in Lapa

Em 14 de março houve a Reunião do Conselho Distrital do Distrito Luterano Paulista. Foi a primeira reunião do ano e foi realizada na igreja da congregação Bom Pastor da Lapa. Como em toda a reunião, foram repassados informações e relatórios sobre o trabalho missionário e as finanças para esse fim. Ouvimos sobre a situação difícil do Instituto Concórdia de São Paulo, alugado pelo grupo Horizontes; sobre o projeto missionário do litoral sul à partir de São Vicente, que receberá, pela graça de Deus, um pastor recém-formado em julho de 2009; e sobre a questão da personalidade jurídica do nosso Distrito. Obtemos informações sobre as programações da Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil, de CPTN, dos jovens e das servas do Distrito. Quanto à CPTN, foi assinado entre ela e o Seminário Concórdia de São Leopoldo um acordo quanto à educação teológica por extensão, no qual o prédio de CPTN serviria como núcleo de ensino. Destacamos ainda a reflexão teológica em torno do tema “Lei e Evangelho nas Confissões Luteranas”, dirigida pelo diretor do Seminário Concórdia de São Leopoldo, professor Gerson Luis Linden. A próxima reunião do Conselho Distrital será em agosto.

On March 14, it took place the gathering of the District Counsel of Paulista Lutheran District. It was the first gathering of the year and took place in the Bom Pastor Congregation´s church, in Lapa, Sao Paulo city. As ever, the information and reports about missionary work and the finances for this end were publicized. We heard about the hard situation of Concordia Institute of Sao Paulo (a former theological seminary), leased for Horizontes group; about the missionary project in south coast from Sao Vicente, which will receive, by God´s grace, a brand new graduate pastor in July of 2009; and about the issue about legal personality of our District. We got information about the events in Brazil Bible Society, CPTN (Lutheran Hour Ministry in Brazil), Youth and Women of our District. As for CPTN, it was signed an agreement between her and Concordia Seminary of Sao Leopoldo, concerning theological education by extension, in which the CPTN headquarter would be a teaching center. Yet, we highlight the theological reflection around the theme “Law and Gospel in the Lutheran Confessions”, by professor Gerson Luis Linden, principal of Concordia Seminary of Sao Leopoldo. The next District Counsel gathering will be in August.

O Batismo de Augusto Erlacher / The Baptism of Augusto Erlacher

Em 15 de fevereiro foi recebido no Reino de Deus pelo Santo Batismo o pequeno Augusto, filho de Gilvan e Márcia Erlacher. No dia anterior, houve um curso sobre o que é o Batismo e a importância do mesmo, dirigido aos padrinhos e testemunhas de Batismo.
O Santo Batismo não é obra humana, mas é a ação de Deus, pois é o “lavar regenerador e renovador do Espírito Santo” (Tt 3:5) que é necessário a todas as pessoas, pois Jesus diz: “Quem não nascer da água e do Espírito não pode entrar no Reino de Deus” (Jo 3:5). A promessa que Deus dá no Batismo é o perdão de pecados e a habitação do Espírito Santo, como mostra At 2:38; uma promessa que vale para todos (Mt 28:19; At 2:39). Deus está muito feliz com o Augusto no seu Reino!

On February 15 little Augusto, Gilvan and Marcia Erlacher´s son, was received in God´s Kingdom through the Holy Baptism. On the day before, it took place a course about what is Baptism and the importance of it, for sponsors and witnesses. The Holy Baptism is not a human work, but it is God´s action, for it is “the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit” (Tit 3:5) which is necessary to every people, as Jesus says: “I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). The promise God offers in Baptism is forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit who dwells in the Christian, as Acts 2:38 shows; a promise valid to everyone (Mat 28:29; Acts 2:39). God is very happy with Augusto in his Kingdom!

I Mutirão pela Música / I All Together For Music

Em 14 de fevereiro se realizou o I Mutirão pela Música, no Colégio Luterano de São Paulo, da Congregação Redentor, de Moinho Velho, cidade de São Paulo.

Esse mutirão foi organizado pela diretoria dos jovens do Distrito Luterano Paulista com a finalidade de iniciar e aprimorar os músicos das igrejas luteranas do nosso Distrito.

Aberto a todas as idades, o curso abrangeu aulas de canto, violão, guitarra, baixo, teclado e bateria. O pastor Fernando deu aula de bateria.

O nosso Distrito necessita muita liderança, principalmente com relação à música, e este evento ajudou muito a amenizar um pouco esta deficiência. Esperamos os próximos!

On February 14 it took place the I All Together for Music, in the Lutheran School of Sao Paulo, which belongs to Redentor congregation, of Moinho Velho, Sao Paulo City.

This gathering of musicians was organized by the Youth Staff of Paulista Lutheran District, with the objective of initiating and honing the musicians of our District´s Lutheran Churches.

Open to every age, the course encompassed classes of singing, guitar and electric guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. Pastor Fernando conducted drums classes.

Our District needs leadership very much, most of all concerning music, and this event helped a lot to temper this deficiency, little bit. We´re waiting for more!

Assembléia Extraordinária / Extraordinary Assembly

No dia 01 de fevereiro ocorreu uma reunião extraordinária da Assembléia de Membros Votantes. Ela teve como objetivo a exibição de relatórios do trabalho da congregação (números estatísticos), além de tratar do assunto sobre liderança leiga para os cultos e o bem estar espiritual da congregação.
O serviço de pregar o Evangelho de Cristo, ou seja, o ministério, é da igreja – a congregação cristã, o grupo de membros do corpo de Cristo, pois foi ela que recebeu o ofício das chaves. Por isso, os membros são reunidos em assembléia para avaliar e decidir sobre a maneira de fazer o trabalho de pregar o Evangelho de Cristo, baseados em Mateus 18:19-20 (versão Nova Tradução na Linguagem de Hoje - NTLH): “—E afirmo a vocês que isto também é verdade: todas as vezes que dois de vocês que estão na terra pedirem a mesma coisa em oração, isso será feito pelo meu Pai, que está no céu. Porque onde dois ou três estão juntos em meu nome, eu estou ali com eles.”

On February 1 a extraordinary gathering of the Voting Member Assembly took place. It had as objective to display some reports about the congregation work (statistics numbers), and deal with the issue about lay leadership for services and the spiritual welfare of our congregation.The task of preaching Christ´s Gospel, namely, the ministry, belongs the church – the Christian congregation, the group of members of Christ´s body, because she received the office of the keys. Therefore, the church members are gathered as assembly to evaluate and decide about the way of doing the work of preaching Christ´s Gospel, based upon Mathew 18:19-20 (New International Version - NIV): “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by may Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

Casamento de Udo e Rosana / The Wedding of Udo and Rosana

No dia 31 de janeiro foi realizada a cerimônia de casamento de Udo Ambold e Rosana Hess. Ocorreu no Olinda Country Club de Piedade-SP. A mensagem foi baseada em Gênesis 2:24, que registra: “Por isso, deixa o homem pai e mãe e se une à sua mulher, tornando-se os dois uma só carne.” Que Deus encha de bênçãos essa união.

On January 31, it took place the wedding of Udo Ambold and Rosana Hess. It occurred in the Olinda Country Club of Piedade city - Sao Paulo State. The message was based upon Genesis 2:24, which says: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh”. May God fill up with blessings this union.
