Reunião de Pastores / Pastors Gathering

Toda última terça-feira do mês, os pastores do Distrito Luterano Paulista se reúnem para estudarem teologia, se confortarem uns aos outros no trabalho do santo ministério e confraternizarem, para que a comunhão em torno de Jesus e os laços de amizade sejam fortalecidos.

Em 31 de março, a reunião de pastores ocorreu em Campo Limpo Paulista, no templo da Congregação Evangélica Luterana Esperança. Neste ano estaremos estudando o livro “A Ética de Cada Dia”, de Martim Carlos Warth (1926-2004). O estudo teológico foi dirigido pelo pastor Sérgio Flor, da Congregação Bom Pastor da Lapa, bairro de São Paulo. Ele abordou as definições e termos na introdução do livro do Martim Warth.
Entre nós estava o pastor Ailton Pereira dos Santos. Ele é pastor da Comunidade Luterana Corpus Christi de Arujá, estado de São Paulo, uma igreja luterana independente. Ele está dialogando conosco, pastores da Igreja Evangélica Luterana do Brazil, com vistas a afiliar a sua comunidade ao nosso corpo eclesiástico.

A nossa próxima reunião será em abril, na Lapa.

Every last Tuesday in a month, the pastors of Paulista Lutheran District gather to study theology, comfort each other in the work of the holy ministry and to fraternize, so that the communion around Jesus and the ties of friendship are strengthened.

On March 31, the pastors gathering took place in Campo Limpo Paulista, in the temple of Esperança Evangelical Lutheran Congregation. In this year we´ll be studying the book “A Ética de Cada Dia” (Everyday Ethics), by Martim Carlos Warth (1926-2004). The theological study was conducted by pastor Sérgio Flor, from Bom Pastor Congregation, Lapa, Sao Paulo City, who spoke about the definitions and terms in the introduction of Martim Warth´s book.
Among us was pastor Ailton Pereira dos Santos. He is the pastor of Corpus Christi Lutheran Community in Arujá, Sao Paulo State, an independent Lutheran Church. He is dialoguing with us, pastors of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil, aiming to affiliate his community to our Church body.

The next pastors gathering will be in April, in Lapa.

Domingo da Família / Family Sunday

No Quinto Domingo na Quaresma, dia 29 de março, tivemos o Domingo da Família.

Após o culto, se formaram grupos para refletir sobre o conteúdo do sermão e fixá-lo na mente. Então, os membros tiveram um momento de distração com algumas dinâmicas de grupo, cujo objetivo era integrar os membros e fortalecer os laços de amizade entre as famílias da nossa congregação.

Esta programação terminou com uma bela refeição de almoço: risoto e salada. O próximo Domingo da Família será no segundo semestre.

On the Fifth Sunday in Lent, March 29, we had the Family Sunday.

After the service, groups were made to reflect about the content of the sermon and to grab it in mind. Then the members had a moment of distraction with some dynamics of groups, with the objective of integrating the members and strengthen the ties of friendships among the families of our congregation.

This event finished with a great meal: rice, chicken and salad. The next Sunday Family will be in the second semester.

Conselho Distrital na Lapa / District Counsel in Lapa

Em 14 de março houve a Reunião do Conselho Distrital do Distrito Luterano Paulista. Foi a primeira reunião do ano e foi realizada na igreja da congregação Bom Pastor da Lapa. Como em toda a reunião, foram repassados informações e relatórios sobre o trabalho missionário e as finanças para esse fim. Ouvimos sobre a situação difícil do Instituto Concórdia de São Paulo, alugado pelo grupo Horizontes; sobre o projeto missionário do litoral sul à partir de São Vicente, que receberá, pela graça de Deus, um pastor recém-formado em julho de 2009; e sobre a questão da personalidade jurídica do nosso Distrito. Obtemos informações sobre as programações da Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil, de CPTN, dos jovens e das servas do Distrito. Quanto à CPTN, foi assinado entre ela e o Seminário Concórdia de São Leopoldo um acordo quanto à educação teológica por extensão, no qual o prédio de CPTN serviria como núcleo de ensino. Destacamos ainda a reflexão teológica em torno do tema “Lei e Evangelho nas Confissões Luteranas”, dirigida pelo diretor do Seminário Concórdia de São Leopoldo, professor Gerson Luis Linden. A próxima reunião do Conselho Distrital será em agosto.

On March 14, it took place the gathering of the District Counsel of Paulista Lutheran District. It was the first gathering of the year and took place in the Bom Pastor Congregation´s church, in Lapa, Sao Paulo city. As ever, the information and reports about missionary work and the finances for this end were publicized. We heard about the hard situation of Concordia Institute of Sao Paulo (a former theological seminary), leased for Horizontes group; about the missionary project in south coast from Sao Vicente, which will receive, by God´s grace, a brand new graduate pastor in July of 2009; and about the issue about legal personality of our District. We got information about the events in Brazil Bible Society, CPTN (Lutheran Hour Ministry in Brazil), Youth and Women of our District. As for CPTN, it was signed an agreement between her and Concordia Seminary of Sao Leopoldo, concerning theological education by extension, in which the CPTN headquarter would be a teaching center. Yet, we highlight the theological reflection around the theme “Law and Gospel in the Lutheran Confessions”, by professor Gerson Luis Linden, principal of Concordia Seminary of Sao Leopoldo. The next District Counsel gathering will be in August.
